The Intricate Art Of Actually CaringThe Intricate Art Of Actually Caring

Jack and Eli spend their days hanging out in Eli’s bedroom, drinking beers and riffing on movies, music and girls. But when the death of a friend causes Jack to look inside himself, he doesn’t like what he sees. This revelation sparks a spiritual journey for the two and they embark on a road trip to James K. Baxter’s grave in remote Jerusalem, New Zealand.

Winner, ‘Most Original Production’, Chapman Tripp Awards 2009 and ‘Best Theatre’ award at the 2009 NZ Fringe Festival.

“A stunning success: a young and highly talented playwright’s road trip meditation on life, death, and the whole damned thing. Kent and Shadbolt are terrific. It’s hip, funny and moving” Laurie Atkinson, Dominion Post
